BRRRR,
it's COLD!

Most inks have a higher freezing point than water, that coupled with a little extra shipping insulation from us usually gets inks to you in liquid form. |

Frozen Ink in your Mailbox? Don't Panic! If you live in a cold zone and your ink should arrive frozen, please let it come to room temperature before you go trying to open it. Yes, we know you're anxious to try that new color, but please exercise your patience :-) We're not so worried about the ink as we are the glass bottles shattering as they go through a temperature cycle! Alternate Warm Destination? If you are able to receive shipments at your office, this is the ideal solution to avoid frozen ink at this time. Perhaps a neighbor could accept your package and keep it warm inside until you come home from work in the evening, they might even decide they need ink, too and you've converted another person to fountain pens!! The bottom line is the less time ink is outside, the better chance it has of arriving in liquid form! |
