Kaweco was founded in the 1890s in Heidelberg, Germany and was among the leading German pen companies in the early 1900s. The Kaweco Sport Pen, predecessor of the modern day Kaweco pens shown below were first developed in the mid-1920s based on an idea developed in 1910 to make a pen for ladies, officers and sportpersons. The Sport was suited to sport, service and social dress due to it's compact size and the ability to tuck it conveniently in a pocket. Today, the Kaweco Sport continues to be produced in Germany to high standards. |
