May 10, 2013 - Eversharps were so popular in their day that many people used the name Eversharp as a generic name for mechanical pencils, similar to people calling all tissues Kleenex or a photocopy a Xerox. We have new Eversharp listings for you today - the real thing!

May 9, 2013 - Yes, we know that Thursday is our usual day for Inky Greetings and you have not received yours yet today! Got a tad behind in all the catch up to do after returning from the Chicago Pen Show. Inky Greetings will be going out to subscribers this week on Friday, May 10 at 8am CT.

If you don't subscribe to our eNewsletters Inky Greetings and Midnight Madness, we hope you will consider it. Inky Greetings goes out on most Thursdays and usually has a bit of pen news, sometimes a contest and always a list of writing collectibles for sale that are offered to subscribers first. Midnight Madness goes out on Mondays and is a short list of items for sale usually based around a theme of some sorts.

May 7, 2013 - Seeing as I am a bit of a clutter-bug myself, I know how easy it is to have pens and pencils strewn from one end of my desk to another. I try not to let this get out of hand because quite frankly, this bad habit makes it tough to keep track of your pens, not to mention (gasp!) having one roll off your desk or just get scuffed up amongst other desk clutter. Be sure to check out our many vintage and re-purposed solutions for keeping your pens in safe place on your desk. Check out our Pen Storage section of the website, lots of new items added today.

May 3, 2013 - Pendemonium is exhibiting this weekend at the Chicago Pen Show. We hope you'll join us on Saturday & Sunday, May 4 & 5, 2013 at the Westin O'Hare. Look for our exhibit in the outer lobby near the pen show registration desk. We'll have a wide assortment of writing equipment for sale - fountain pens, ball pens, mechanical pencils, dip pens, lots of inks both new and vintage, things to hold your pens, weird bits of memorabilia and as always a few surprises.

We'll make one last post office run early Friday AM before we leave for Chicago and will resume shipping on Tuesday, May 7, 2013. We monitor email and website orders while we're on the road and at the pen show. Our retail shop in Fort Madison is closed through Monday, May 6, 2013. Thanks for your patience while we're in Chicago.

We look forward to seeing you at the Chicago Pen Show this weekend!

May 2, 2013 - Nice batch of antique Poster Stamps listed today for your perusal and purchase. Poster Stamps were widely used in Europe primarily during the late 1880s into the 1920s. Many companies, including a number of pen, ink and writing related companies used these stamps on their letters and correspondence as advertising. Please take a moment to enjoy these small works of art.
