W1096 Swiv-o-dex inkwell, ca. 1940s, white milkglass base measures 4.25 inches diameter, white swivel inkwell with dark and light grey mottled collar. Swiv-o-dex inkwells were manufactured by the American Zephyr Corp and were very popular during WWII. Many were used on ships because they were difficult to tip over.
