Barrel printed in matte gold: Go Hawks Iowa Hawkeyes and U of Iowa Hawkeyes logo. Threaded cap. Uses Sheaffer Classic Ballpoint refills, fresh refill installed. University of Iowa attended the Rose Bowl a number of times in: 1957, 1959, 1982, 1986, 1991 and 2015. This one appears to from the 1982 game where Iowa lost to Washington 0-28. Too bad for the Hawkeyes that year! RS Prussia Inkwell Desk Set

W849  RS Prussia Inkwell Desk Set - This stunning RS Prussia Porcelain Inkwell Set was made in the Reinhold Schlegelmilch second factory in Tillowitz in the Upper Silesia Germany late 1800s. Wreath and Star Mark on the bottom of each piece notes RS Tillowitz and Silesia. The factory in Silesia opened in 1894 and this mark is less common than others. RS Prussian porcelain is known for the complex molds they utilized, beautiful patterns, hand applied decoration and the unusual glazes.

Measures 8.25 inches. 2) Keuffell and Esser Co Germany, Holder in natural would, contoured, fit with vintage Hunt 103 steel open crowquill dip pen nib, XXF and XX Flexible point. Contour gripping section. Measures 6 inches long with nib.

This group of fountain pen nibs last lived in the Sheaffer Pen Co in Fort Madison, however they are all in envelopes marked Radiant Point Pen Corp, 270 Lafayette Street, New York City. Each envelope is marked by hand with the nib number , brief info and the date 6-12-40. It seems reasonable that Sheaffer was perhaps exploring nib makers for gold plated nibs at this time. Each marked Warranted Iridium Tip.
